Mercedes Wong is a proud supporter of the Aboriginal Mother Centre Society (AMCS), a Vancouver‑based non-profit providing safe, supportive, and transformational housing and services for Aboriginal mothers and their children at risk of homelessness or child-protection intervention.

Over more than two decades (2002–2023), Mercedes served as Director, Treasurer, and Volunteer, contributing her expertise to record and prepare financial statements, analyze budgets versus actuals for audits, and prepare working papers required by external auditors. Her long-term leadership helped strengthen governance and ensure the organization’s financial health, supporting its mission to empower families, promote healthy living, and provide culturally grounded programs.

Mercedes’s engagement with AMCS reflects her broader philanthropic focus on community well-being, professional mentorship, and inclusive support systems, creating lasting, positive impact for vulnerable populations while fostering opportunities for mothers and children to thrive with dignity and stability.
