Generations Village is a bold vision led by Mercedes Wong CRE, CCIM, FRI, RI, reimagining how we live, age, and connect. Designed to bring seniors, students, and families together, this scattered-site model spans the Lower Mainland, creating smaller, thoughtfully designed neighborhoods that can be tailored to local needs. Programs may include aging in place, dementia-friendly design, and cultural community engagement.

At its heart, Generations Village fosters intergenerational connection—where the wisdom of age meets the energy of youth, and shared purpose replaces social isolation. Residents live, learn, and grow side by side, cultivating a culture of care, respect, and mutual support that strengthens both individuals and the wider community.

This innovative approach directly addresses two pressing social challenges: the shortage of affordable housing for seniors and students, and the growing need for inclusion and connection across generations. By integrating attainable housing with community programming, education, and cultural engagement, Generations Village promotes wellness, sustainability, and lifelong belonging.

SUPPORT THE VISION
Generations Village is more than a housing initiative—it’s a community-building movement. Builders Without Borders Foundation Canada is actively fundraising to bring this innovative vision to life, and every donation helps move the project closer to reality. Contributions will support planning, community engagement, program development, and the creation of inclusive, intergenerational spaces where seniors, students, and families can thrive together. Whether you’re an individual, corporation, or philanthropic organization, your support will help build stronger, more connected communities for generations to come. READ MORE
