Mercedes cares deeply about improving the quality of life and well-being of those in and beyond her community. She generously donates her time to non-profit organizations that strengthen professional practices, ethics, and community support. As Past President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver Fraserview, she has led numerous initiatives bringing together business leaders to provide humanitarian services locally and internationally. Her leadership helped raise funds for community projects.
